AutoCrypt Technologies Introduces ML-DSA Quantum-Safe PKI

Autocrypt Launches AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles, Bringing Quantum-Safe Security to Global Automakers

AutoCrypt Technologies

Introducing “AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles,” a revolutionary measure intended to protect linked mobility in the future from new quantum threats. Autocrypt is now one of the first commercial providers worldwide to offer genuine Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) grade security solutions designed especially for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and their intricate supply chains with this new, next-generation Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system, which instantly supports the Module-Lattice-based Digital Signature Algorithm (ML-DSA).

The release addresses changing security issues brought on by projected developments in quantum computing technologies and is in line with the crucial international industry preparedness for the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards for post-quantum cryptography.

The “looming quantum threat” defines a critical moment, which is when the product is launched. According to industry analysts, powerful quantum computers will become a reality in the upcoming years, making the ordinary encryption algorithms of today outdated.

The cryptographic protocols that now support almost all contemporary digital security, from financial systems to linked automobiles, such as Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Random Access (RSA), will no longer be secure. In order to prevent the serious threat known as “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” from affecting the millions of connected cars that will soon hit the market, Autocrypt is taking proactive steps to fix this looming security vulnerability. This danger consists of material that has been encrypted being taken today with the express purpose of employing powerful quantum machines in the future to decipher it later.

The Quantum Imperative and the ML-DSA Standard

It is imperative that PQC standards be adopted. NIST laid the foundation for this shift by choosing a number of algorithms for standardization following years of intense testing and competition among international cryptographers. In 2024, FIPS 204 selected ML-DSA, sometimes referred to as Dilithium, as the digital signature standard. With its strong defence against future attacks from large-scale quantum computers, this lattice-based technique is now commonly recognized as the global cryptographic baseline for quantum resistance.

Among the first to be prepared for actual certificate issuing using the ML-DSA architecture in harsh automotive applications is Autocrypt’s new solution. By integrating ML-DSA functionality right now, Autocrypt gives automakers a solution that complies with this new international legal environment. The company reiterates its standard-ready security solution for automotive industries looking ahead. The cryptographic flexibility and novel design of “AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles” ensure that automakers are investing in a future-proof architecture for product durability and security, not a bandage solution.

A Dedicated Fortress for Connected Mobility

In the automotive industry, PKI is the cornerstone of safety and confidence. All modern linked auto security systems require it.

  • V2X Communication: This feature ensures reliable and verified Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications including collision alerts and traffic signal data, protecting drivers.
  • Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates: PKI is essential for confirming the authenticity and origin of all software upgrades, preventing malicious code injection into the car’s systems.
  • Component Authentication: It creates digital trust between external services and the vehicle’s Electronic Control Units (oecus).
  • Digital Key Security: Relay assaults and other complex threats are shielded from keyless entry and start systems by the infrastructure.

If the automobile PKI is compromised in the quantum era, the results could be disastrous. These possible risks include everything from widespread car theft to malevolent remote control of essential vehicle operations, which would ultimately erode consumer confidence and violate important functional safety regulations. By offering PQC protection, the new Autocrypt device tackles this serious existential risk. “AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles” is intended to handle digital certificates for communications and vehicle parts, but it now includes the crucial extra layer of PQC protection. Every car and component’s digital “ID” and “signature” are cryptographically hardened against the most sophisticated potential threats with this hardening.

Seamless Integration to Accelerate Adoption

The intrinsic difficulty and high expense of replacing huge, established infrastructure is one of the biggest obstacles to industry-wide cryptographic adoption. The solution from Autocrypt is designed to address this issue particularly, emphasizing simplicity and smooth integration.

“The automotive industry is facing an unprecedented shift in cybersecurity,” said Seokwoo Lee, CEO and co-founder of Autocrypt, underscoring the seriousness of the change. Lee stated that “Quantum computing is redefining the threat landscape, and the industry must act now to future-proof all vehicles” . He added that the sheer number of hardware and software components in a worldwide fleet necessitates a non-disruptive deployment approach for PQC.

In order to “optimise the process of post-quantum adoption without disrupting existing infrastructure,” Lee said that Autocrypt is utilising its extensive knowledge of current automotive security methods. Perhaps the product’s greatest commercial advantage is its exceptional capacity to close the gap between legacy systems and the necessary PQC standards. By replacing insecure signature algorithms with quantum-safe ones within the current PKI framework, it enables OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to start their migration path right away, significantly cutting development cycles and certification costs.

Given that the industry is coming under more scrutiny because to laws like UNECE WP.29, which requires strong cybersecurity management throughout the vehicle lifetime, the introduction is especially pertinent. For any carmaker operating in foreign markets, PQC preparedness is rapidly turning into a non-negotiable component of compliance. OEMs can confidently show their dedication to the highest standards of digital safety and resilience by implementing a standard-ready solution like AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles.

Gearing Up for CES 2026

AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles is one of the future-proof technologies that Autocrypt intends to demonstrate at the eagerly awaited 2026 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The performance is slated to take place from January 6–9. Global automakers and technology partners will be able to see firsthand how a quantum-safe PKI environment is deployed and managed in practical automotive applications with the CES showcase. With this public debut, Autocrypt will further establish itself as a progressive supplier actively influencing the future wave of connected and safe mobility.

In the end, CEO Seokwoo Lee stated that this product introduction marks “the beginning of a new standard for quantum-safe automotive cybersecurity.” In order to ensure that the autonomous, networked transportation of the future is based on unbreakable, quantum-resistant trust, Autocrypt’s “AutoCrypt PKI-Vehicles” is a vital tool for automakers negotiating the cryptographic cliff.
