At the heart of this transition is Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, a Barcelona-based pioneer that has spent the last year advancing the integration of quantum systems into high-performance computing (HPC) environments and multimodal data centers.

During five high-profile sessions at MWC and 4YFN next week, Qilimanjaro will highlight the company’s critical role in bringing quantum technology “from the lab to data centers.” The company’s attendance at 4YFN (Hall 8.1, Stand 8.1B55) and MWC (Hall 6, Stand 6B12) is evidence of its quick expansion following its 4YFN24 Award victory.

4YFN 2026 Dates Barcelona

The MWC Spanish Pavilion will host a keynote address titled “Activando la era cuántica desde España” on Monday, March 2, to kick off the week. This session will examine Spain’s strategic advancement of domestic quantum technology, with an emphasis on how the country is speeding up adoption in key economic areas.

The quantum computing is quickly evolving from a “scientific promise” to a “industrial capability.” Enabling tangible industrial use cases in industries like advanced industry, energy, logistics, finance, and healthcare is the main goal of Qilimanjaro. A “quantum-ready” ecosystem that enables these businesses to directly incorporate quantum processing into their current productive processes is to be created by reducing entrance barriers.

Redefining the Global Technological Map

Talking about quantum technology inherently involves geopolitics and technical sovereignty. The Spanish Pavilion will host a session on how quantum capabilities are changing global power dynamics on Monday. At a time when quantum supremacy may determine economic and security leadership, the panel will discuss how Europe can stay competitive and relevant as quantum computing becomes strategic infrastructure.

One recurrent motif in Qilimanjaro is the emphasis on European leadership. Europe’s great research capabilities should be translated into long-term strategic effect and industrial leadership, the business stresses. In another session at 4YFN, specialists will look at where Europe stands in the global “quantum race” right now and what has to be done to make sure the continent continues to play a big role in the global arena.

The session “From Zero to Category Creators: The Startup Power to Disrupt” will also highlight Qilimanjaro’s transformation from a company to a “category creator.” Taking the stage with 4YFN25 winner Bankuish, 4YFN24 winner Qilimanjaro will show how deep tech startups are “rewriting the rules” of what is possible, rather than just inventing.

Qilimanjaro, is establishing a whole new product category in the quantum domain, demonstrating that niche firms may drive the boundaries of scientific and commercial advancements. A technological landscape that is frequently controlled by well-established giants needs this disruption to push the limits of computing, which calls for the agility and specialized focus of companies like Qilimanjaro.

SpeQtrum and the Hybrid Future of Data Centers

Perhaps the most technical and forward-looking session will take place on Wednesday, March 4: From the Lab to Data Centers” is scheduled to be the most technical and forward-looking. This talk discusses the limitations that classical computing systems are currently encountering. Classical systems have challenges related to sustainability, infrastructure complexity, and growing energy costs as AI continues to grow.

In Qilimanjaro’s hybrid and multimodal data center future, quantum computing enhances current infrastructures by speeding up certain, extremely complex activities. The full-stack quantum technology developed by Qilimanjaro, SpeQtrum, is essential to this ambition. SpeQtrum can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud and is intended to be integrated with traditional HPC settings. An important illustration of this integration is the company’s current collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), where quantum devices are being incorporated into one of the most potent computing environments in Europe.

To expand its commercial reach, Qilimanjaro recently revealed that it is working with Oxigen Data Center to investigate the possibility of housing multimodal quantum computers in commercial data center buildings.

A Broad Portfolio of Innovation

A number of significant milestones for Qilimanjaro in early 2026 precede the next sessions at MWC and 4YFN. With the goal of educating the next generation of quantum engineers, the company has introduced EduQit, a “build-your-own” quantum computer for research and education.

Misiones QCare is investigating how quantum technology might transform medical research and patient care in the healthcare industry. The RETECH Q-AINA project is also especially aimed at developing the nexus between AI and quantum computing, a collaboration that Qilimanjaro thinks will be essential for upcoming technological advances.

With the start of MWC and 4YFN 2026, Qilimanjaro is a shining example of how European deep technology is progressing beyond the lab.
