Registration Open for IBM Quantum Developer Conference 2025

Quantum Developer Conference

To attend the IBM Quantum Developer Conference in 2025, apply now.

On November 11–14, 2025, the IBM Quantum Developer Conference 2025 will take place in Atlanta, Georgia. In order to present developments in IBM’s quantum hardware, including the Nighthawk and Loon processors, and software, like the Qiskit SDK, this second-annual conference seeks to unite quantum developers, academics, and community leaders. Network with professionals, see practical demonstrations, and learn mistake mitigation tactics. Conference applications are due September 19, 2025; however, space is restricted. It is intended for active Qiskit users and other quantum professionals. Even if you can’t make it there, the recordings and event materials will be made available to the larger quantum community.

As developers, researchers, and quantum experts from all over the world prepare to gather for the second-annual IBM Quantum Developer Conference (QDC) 2025, the quantum community is aflutter. The Hyatt Regency Atlanta will host the conference, which is set for November 12–14, 2025, with an evening welcoming reception on November 11. Attendees of this invitation-only session will get a vital sneak peek at the software and hardware innovations that will power the first quantum advantage demonstrations on IBM quantum computers.

A Collaborative Path to Quantum Advantage

The main focus of Quantum Developer Conference 2025 is the imminence of “quantum advantage,” which is the point at which problems can be solved by quantum computers more precisely, affordably, or effectively than by purely conventional computation. The whole quantum community will work together to achieve this important milestone, according to IBM Quantum, rather than just one researcher or organization. While industry and academic researchers investigate the most promising use cases, hardware and software vendors such as IBM are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology in order to allow this crucial collaboration. The meeting is crucial for promoting cooperation.

Exclusive previews and hands-on experiences

A close look at quantum computing cutting edge is promised at Quantum Developer Conference 2025. Attendees will have exclusive access to the latest IBM Quantum Roadmap. A sneak peek at upcoming processors like the IBM Quantum Nighthawk and IBM Quantum Loon, which are intended to open the door for quantum advantage and, ultimately, large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing, is included in this.

In addition to hardware, attendees will gain from practical examples of sophisticated IBM quantum software tools. Important topics that will be covered in these demonstrations include:

  • Cutting-edge methods for mitigating quantum errors.
  • The Qiskit SDK’s new C API makes it possible to achieve high performance.
  • Additional intriguing changes to the Qiskit software stack that are intended to provide quantum advantage demonstrations in the near future.
  • Advancements in traditional tools for mitigating errors.
  • With the most recent upgrade to the IBM Quantum Platform, new functionalities were included.
  • Illustrations of the main IBM Quantum Roadmap benchmarks from the viewpoint of a practitioner.
  • Firsthand knowledge of the “advantage-grade workflows” that are being developed for the IBM Quantum Platform.

At QDC 2025, each session is designed to give attendees a unique, insider’s perspective of the tactics IBM is using to give its system users a revolutionary edge.

An Agenda Built for the Community

Including the demands of the quantum community directly in the agenda is a high priority for the organizers. Passive observation will no longer be the norm at this highly engaged seminar. Every day of the Quantum Developer Conference will concentrate on workflow-specific applications with the goal of enabling participants and their organizations to take their research to the next level.

Those in attendance will have unique chances to:

  • Meet with professionals from IBM.
  • Get advice on creating quantum processes.
  • Learn new technical skills.
  • Investigate current trials.
  • Take part in breakout tasks that are based on personalised tutorials, offering an opportunity to practise your creativity and quantum knowledge.
  • By taking part in networking events, you can meet and learn from top quantum researchers around the world.
  • To improve the offered tools and services, they can directly communicate their ideas and opinions to IBM leadership.

Important Dates for Applications and Who Should Apply

The IBM Quantum Developer Conference 2025 is open to anyone in the quantum world, however it requires an application process due to its extremely limited capacity. In any pertinent area of quantum information science and engineering, active Qiskit users with significant experience as researchers or developers are given preference in the selection criterion. Computational scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, students, and anybody else interested in or working in quantum computing would be excellent candidates.

Potential guests should take note of the following important dates:

  • Applications are being accepted through September 19.
  • Attendees will get their initial acceptance letters on August 1.
  • On October 10, final acceptance letters will be sent.

Candidates should apply early to increase their invitation prospects. IBM Quantum guarantees to make all materials, announcements, and presentation recordings available to the global quantum community soon after the event for individuals who cannot attend or whose applications are not chosen.

Interested parties should use the application link provided to apply for the IBM Quantum Developer Conference 2025. If you have any queries about the conference, you can send them to [email protected].
